With fight night one week away we would like to catch you up to speed on the latest and greatest MMA event to come out of South Texas! But before we get you updated we would like to make a special announcement in regards to STFC 24.
We are very happy to announce that we will be giving away TWO tickets to the STFC 24 and all you have to do is “Like” us on Facebook. The contest will end on Thursday after the press conference!
Fight Card:
Frank Treviño x Joseph Daily
(STFC Welterweight Championship Bout)
Carlos Diego Ferreira x “Dangerous” Danny Salinas
(STFC Lightweight Championship Bout)
Joshua Trevino x Andrew Garza (200lbs)
Fabian Saldivar x George Ted Powery (135lbs)
Mikey Saenz x Vaughn Govia (155lbs)
Israel Martinez x Sam Guardiolaia (135lbs)
Joey Montiel x Elias J. Garcia
Why should you go?
This event will be headlined by TWO title fights and a good amount of “Bad Blood”. Hence, the name of the show. Undefeated middleweight champion, Frank Trevino(9-0) of Gracie Barra Mcallen, will be making his welterweight debut against Joesph Daily fighting out of Cinco MMA. This is probably the most hyped fight out of the entire card. Daily holds two wins over Trevino’s best friend, Abram Torres, which is the main storyline going in but as of recent, the heat has been turned up a bit with some quite hubristic statements from Daily as shown in the video below.
Now for comparison, here is Frank Trevino’s video promo talking about Daily
The co-main event will feature TGS’s local fighter of the year, Carlos Diego Ferreira taking on the reigning 155lb champion Danny Salinas. If you were to hear the chatter about this fight, you would think that Diego is the current champion since most people seeing him getting his hand raised at the end of this contest. Salinas knows this and has talked about it but its nothing new to the “Dangerous” one. Both these fighters, such as the two fighters main-eventing, are products of the valley and been groomed in the valley, specifically STFC.
Promo Videos:
Danny Salinas
Carlos Diego Ferreira
This will be STFC 5 year anniversary show and with exception of Ferreira , all the fighters on the marquee have been with the company since the inception when STFC was branded as STFL. This event is probably the biggest MMA event that the valley has seen with homegrown talent. This event will be a culmination of 5 years of hard work for both the promotion and the fighters and on Friday February 22 and its an event that any valley fight fan can’t miss!
The weigh-ins and press conference:
Tickets are priced at $27 at the box office or through Ticketmaster but if you use the code “fbstfc” this will cut the price down to $22 for riser seats.
See you there!
