Juan Manuel Lopez and Orlando Salido Rematch Official, Will Take Place on Showtime March 10

Last year on April 16 two of the best fights of 2011 took place. The most talked about fight that night was the rise of Victor Ortiz with his defeat over Andre Berto to earn the right to take on Floyd Mayweather. The other fight that night was on Showtime for the WBO featherweight championship owned at that time by Juan Manuel Lopez.

Juan Manuel Lopez walked to the ring as the champ that night but left without the title. That night Lopez learned the lesson the hard way that you never test a heart of a Mexican. Orlando Salido was a huge underdog coming in on that night with no one expecting the Salido to not only win but knockout the champ by the 8th round. The dethroning of Lopez as champion was also Lopez’s first defeat.

Salido will once again put the pride of Mexico on his back with the featherweight title around his waist and walk into Puerto Rico. How he leaves after that fight will be answered on March 10 live on Showtime.
