STFC makes their return to the STFC Combat Zone(Mcallen Convention Center) on March 1st with David Armas from Houston looking to dethrone the current featherweight champ, Javier Obergon. Both fighters will be coming into STFC Unleashed to end a dry spell in the win column. It’s will be interesting to see how well this event draws considering that the names on the marquee are from out of town. It really shouldn’t be too much of an issue though since STFC has branded themselves very well in the RGV  as the premier combat entertainment promotion in this area. It also helps that the undercard is filled with some valley favorites that are familiar to the STFC audience.

The co-main event should be a stellar clash between the “Pride of Santa Rosa” Fabian Saldivar taking on Sonny Luque out of Laredo, Texas. Both fighters are riding win streaks coming into this bout and know that a loss could derail their momentum for bigger bouts. Saldivar has been more active in the cage has Luque only fought once last year but that doesn’t mean that Luque as stood idle- Luque is also the head coach of MMA Laredo.

The rest of the card is laced with great matchups that include Abram Torres taking on Elias Marks, Victor Martinez taking on Joe Rod Rodriguez and Leroy Martinez taking on Amador Ramirez.
