TUF WMMA Auditions

Check out the new TUF auditions video by the great team at All Elbows. Typically, I’m most interested in TUF seasons when they do a division that hasn’t been done yet. Prime example was the first lightweight season, TUF 5, which featured Diaz, Gamburyan, Maynard, Cole Miller, Joe Lauzon, and Matt Wiman. And the guys that weren’t good that season were still entertaining enough to live in infamy like Andy Wang (“Stand and Wang”), Corey Hill (“Buddy Rowe”), or Allen Berude (“Monstah Lobstah”).

Well, I can safely say that I’m genuinely interested in this upcoming season. Shayna Baszler (one of my favorite submission grapplers in the sports), Tara LaRosa, and Tonya Evinger are well-know fighters in the division. People that aren’t familiar with Baszler van a gritar when they see her pull off a slick submission.

They also have some names that stand out like Revelina Berto – la hermana de Andre Berto. I hope she gets to fight on the TUF Finale broadcast so we could hear Jon Anik say the following quote twenty times – “Dieuseul Berto and Revelina Berto are the first father and daughter to fight inside the Octagon! ” If she loses in the finale, he can also say they are the first father and daughter to lose inside the Octagon.

Jokes aside, I have a good feeling about this season.
